Has anybody seen "The Snapper"? The tale of an Irish lass who gets pregnant out of wedlock by a chance encounter?
It's a warm, family comedy with a happy ending.

The Magdalene laundries closed in 1996. Things have changed in Ireland, and I'm certain that neither all Irish citizens nor all Catholics approved of or supported the Magadalene Sisters. Still, the fact that it was happen and continue for as long as it did is quite distressing.
