Need Firefox bookmarks help.

Well, it finally happened to me.
All my bookmarks goners. I had imported them from IE when I first got Firefox. Everything worked fine for the last few weeks until this morning.
Went to the website & into the bug section and found the same problem and I have no idea what's going on on the page it sent me to.
I've seen others here with the same problem.
Was there a relatively simple fix?

1. OK, the bookmarks are usually still there...

Your profile settings probably got corrupted. Alright, now, first, go into Folder Options, click I think the advanced tab and make sure the "show hidden files and folders" option is checked. Open Firefox and then go to manage bookmarks, then select import from file, then go to this folder:"C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\PROFILE" the italics are different for every computer. In this folder find the file "Bookmarks.htm" or "Bookmarks.bak" this is where your bookmarks are stored, as one big HTML file. Once imported it should bring all your bookmarks back.

After that go to "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\PROFILE" Folder in explorer and make an extra copy of that "Bookmarks.htm" file and put it in my documents or a floppy, for backup purposes. DO NOT MOVE IT, COPY IT!!!
