I hear tell some of you've asked about me

Hey, gang:

Sorry I've been so scarce. A combination of things has kept me
away. To wit....

1. I spent several days visiting Montreal in mid-September;

2. My computer needed a new motherboard and was in the repair
shop for almost two weeks;

3. No sooner did I get my computer back (a week ago Thursday)
then some guy in Texas e-mails me and wants to order copies of
a dozen of my multi-volume homemade CD collections. Since he has
already sent me a check, I've been spending my evenings
burning copies of the discs he wants and trying to complete
his order ASAP.

4. Finally, things were getting pretty rude and negative in
the Lounge. I was disappointed over encountering the same
bullshit here that I've seen in every goddamned discussion forum I've ever joined, regardless of its topic. Somehow I thought political
progressives would be less inclined to behave like assholes,
but it would appear I was living a horrible lie.

Anyway, that's what's up with me lately. Thank you to those who asked!
