Just finalized my ticket purchase for DC this month!

I'm arriving early Friday morning and leaving late Sunday so I have some time to do a little sightseeing. I've been to DC once before, so I have seen many of the typical sites — various memorials, National Archives, Library of Congress, White House, the Mall, etc.

What hidden treasures do I need to discover? I did a speed walk through portions of the Smithsonian, so I'm definitely heading back there. What buildings/sections do I need to hit there?

I worked until 4:00AM and can't think of anything "special" about DC right now that the average person wouldn't know; as soon as I get my 2cd cup of coffee, I can probably come up with something!
