So I went to see Seinfeld last night ...

Have never been a fan of his whiny schtick ... but it was a present for the GF so I went anyway. Was surprised (!) to see that he is EXACTLY the same on stage as he is on TV ... no surprise I guess, but I was anyway. The opening act was tame, Seinfeld himself was amusing, rarely very funny, all in all it was an enjoyable evening, but not worth $80/ticket.

1. I found the crowd to be verrrrrrrry easy on him

Took my mom and she is still RAVING about how funny he was, but she can't really recall much of what he said and neither can I. I think we just liked seeing our friend (who's been in our living rooms daily for oh so long) in person, and like you said, just like we remember him.

The audience just roared at all his amusing but not terribly killer material. But it was a good time.

Had to buy scalped tix for $115 apiece, to boot, so be glad you got away with $80.
