I have to go with Cat farts - fish does not bode well in a cat's lower intestine...

I have had cats all my life and I have no idea when they are passing gas.
Dogs, on the other hand, can clear out a house.

Cats are more pungent at close range, but nothing compares to the searing gales of flatus that emanate from my dog's demonic haunches.

My dog can clear the county. I'm xure he's bad for the environment. But he's the best!

My cats disappear for a while after he's dealt one. Wish I knew where they go to get away from it.

I know it happens. I've got the blistered nostrils to prove it. But I've never heard the actual release of flatus. Silent but deadly. Wouldn't you think that - just once - you would hear them in the act? Or is it such high frequency that only dogs can hear it?

8. Yep. The golden retriever I had years ago used to have musical toots.

He'd be asleep and let one loose... wake up and look backward, trying to figure out where that noise came from! He also had the SBDs too. Real nostril hair burners.

10. Our newest cat, Ivan, leaves the room after he farts.

He is the only regularly farting cat I've ever had. Occasionally Tommy will pass gas, but only a few times a year. Never heard or smelled the female kitty, Clarisse, fart. But Ivan is amazing. He also poops toxic waste, but the vet said he's perfectly healthy. I think, after probably at least a year eating mice and birds and whatever he could catch before we found and adopted him, his tummy is still trying to cope with regular meals and richer canned food.

Yes, cats fart. And it can be quite pungent. I've had several dogs in my life, most of them were large, and Ivan, the 20 lb cat, easily outdoes the dogs in stinkiness and frequency of farts. At least my husband now has someone else to blame when my eyes start to water.

13. Ever smell a Macaw fart?

Swear its true - and pretty damn nasty too. Spent the night in a closed jeep with the damn bird once (camped over at a friend's ranch)
