I bought his magazine last night called Arnold: The American Dream. Anyone read this one? I havent got passed the begining where it talked about all of his starts in bodybuilding and competitions. So his dad was a Nazi. So was my girlfriends great uncle. :-) I know that everyone wont like my predictions but he will win in California. Bustamante just doesnt have the name that Arnold has and i think most of California wants to get rid of Davis and try something new. There has to be another Arnold fan on here who still likes him for his 7 Mr Olympias and hundreds of cheesy guy movies.

Ever since I read the Premiere article in 2001, I've not been able to stand him. I used to think he was a harmless goof, but he's actually a serial harrasser who would never have gotten away with half the shit he has if he weren't so powerful in Hollywood. I can't possibly watch another Terminator flick knowing now that he was really enjoying shoving a woman's face into the toilet (like he does in T-3). Just too disturbing.

Not because he's a Republican. He's always been a Republican. I don't make entertainment decisions based on the political party of the actor. One doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the other. So I never stayed away from Arnold movies simply because of his politics. He wasn't Dixie Chicked in reverse for me, if you will.

But until he began his run for Governor, I didn't know what an asshole he was. My opinion of Arnold has definately been lowered, not that it was necessarily high to begin with.

As for his movies, he hasn't made a good one in several years anyway. If he ever did. He's not much of an actor in my opinion.

So to recap: I won't stay away from his movies simply because he's a Republican. His being an asshole will cause me not to spend any money that he might get a cut of. If he makes a new movie that is supposed to be great, I won't go watch it because of his mashing (that's a good way to put it, NSMA). I probably won't be able to enjoy any of his movies now, anyway, because I won't be able to get his assholeness out of my mind.

I think it's an important distinction to make: I'm not staying away from Arnold just because he's a Republican. I'm staying away because he's an asshole.

I enjoyed AS in the Conan movies, as I am a fantasy/sci-fi/rpg geek. That only means that I have known about the total jerk this guy is for the past 20-something years.
