I am interested in the knowledge they provide.

Thank you. My avatar is of 6 inch high a wood sculpture I picked up in Hawaii a couple of years ago. I like the message it provides.

15. I used to subscribe to Atlantic, New Yorker, Harper's & The Nation

but no longer do. I still occasionally do the cryptic crosswords in Atlantic, Harper's and The Nation. But only when one of my neighbors leaves an old copy in the laundry room. The New Yorker ran a series of mini-cryptics for a while, but stopped.

I used to buy Henry's Hooks book of cryptics every year, but haven't seen one in a while.

If there was a monthly magazine of cryptic crosswords, I'd probably subscribe.

and I get it mainly for the CD samplers that come with it. It's a pretty good deal, you get a cd with each magazine. This year when I renewed, they also sent me the new Camper Van Beethoven CD (which rocks btw), so you gotta love that!

Oh yeah and I get Billboard free through my business. But I rarely read it anymore.

I like to read about cars if I can't get to sleep. Puts me right out.

I cancelled my subscription to 'The Nation' a few months ago because it seemed that everything in it had already been on DU previously and because you have to take a break from politics at some point.

I had a free subscription to 'Mix' for about 12 years, but they stopped sending it to me. :shrug:

and every now and then i get on a big crossword kick and get those magazines too.
