He used to speak to me in Russian. Frequently. I requested it. He could have been saying "I can operate on that bunion" for all I know, but I didn't care.

I had another boyfriend in college who could speak French. He drove a Mustang, liked to kiss my hand, called me "mademoiselle" and whispered in French in my ear. A lot.

Young guys, some advice. Learn a foreign language. Not just a few sentences, either. And one that sounds good. Not German (sorry, no offense. I'm married to a half-German, but that language just does nothing for me).
