7. yep, whooping cough. Wee tots get shots

but they have found out the vaccine wears off. Doctors finally recognizing that teens and adults are getting it. Not as dangerous for big people as our lungs are bigger. But it is NOT fun and has been way under-diagnosed so it is increasing. Very contagious and VERY bad coughing spells. Makes ya really tired.

Had a really bad bout a couple years ago. Everybody around here seems to have had it. Every time I get sick, it comes back a bit. Been researching it for a couple years. Medical sites didn't seem to know squat and now are getting some info on it... like the fact that people get relapses when they get other bugs.

Am better, just not well yet. The nyquil won't stop the coughing fits tonight, so sleep is outta the question. The dog made Havocdad (who has been sleeping in other room) get up last night and tend to me as the hound was so worried.

You cough til you puke/pee/nearly pass out. I am so friggen tired.
