Thought I would buy a house overlooking the water. Probably on the Chesapeake Bay. The house would have to have a widows walk or something like that in order to have a clear view of the ships. i'm thinking a few spanish and italian villas along the coast... maybe one on a poorer area of the french riviera (hah! yeah right! as if i can find one!). use the other villas to provide steady income, invest the rest, go party in ibiza on the weekends.

hmm, maybe a property on okinawa, hawaii, yucatan (or jamaica), costa del sol spain, and somewhere in italy. perhaps a nice home in marseilles and shanghai if i have spare cash. dunno, might get a few of those on the list.

considering with $1 million i can get 1 nice home here in the SF bay area or maybe a decent 1 and a flat if i bargain shop, i don't think it'd be all that hard to find decently priced homes elsewhere, especially jamaica, italy, mexico, spain, and china. the prices here are just insane -- median home price of $500,000?, insane. but then we are an island of sanity in fortress america... i guess that comes with a price.

when 1st world countries invest in third world economies. I'll bet they'll be lots of high paying jobs (two or three Euros a day) in the next several years when Bushism comes home to roost.

The Marshall Space Center will certainly be useless in a few years, given the widespread hatred of science in this country, but I'm sure many of the buildings in the complex are very large and have external walls that would be excellent places to post murals of Jesus or even large displays of the ten commandments.

The billions in grant money should be useful in short order to fill a shopping cart so that one can go buy a loaf of bread.

It's going to be very interesting to see what the buyers do with the ruins of America. I'm wondering about whether the Chinese will want to take the friezes on the Supreme Court building and display them in the Beijing museum much as the British took the Elgin Marbles to the British museum.

DeLay is one of the most vindictive, cruel and nakedly evil beings running around (if you don't count Grover Norquist), and I'd like to have a chance to show the good people of Texas just how un-Christlike his behavior is.
