My quote made the front page of our local paper!
I went to a code pink rally in No. Cal on Friday. I debated going vs. working the phone bank. I went and a reporter came to cover it. After she talked to the organizer, I went up to her and just tried to give quotes that made sense. The story ran on the front page, with a large picture, and my quotes were in the second paragraph. :bounce:

What ran, was I said the protest is important to get out the vote and to remind Californians that many think it's a very big deal when someone harrasses women. Californians needs a leader with experience not someone who plans to learn on the job.

The best part, was that I got a few calls from folks who saw my name. They wanted to know what to do to work against the recall.

:bounce:

I'm not giving a link because I'm still trying to protect my identity, somewhat.

13. Thanks all for your kind words
A little more information. I got a call Sunday from some folks I met at the protest. Many went to protest at an Arnie rally in Pleasonton. It was at a public park but the Arnie organizers would not let them enter the park because of the pink shirt. So, one of the women simply took it off--LOL--and they still refused admittance. Another instance of an infringement on our rights.
