One kid with bronchitis (possibly the flu), the other kid working on
the same. Husband coughing his head off. I know I'm next, and I am not impressed. My son popped up with a 102.8 temp on Saturday, and I've been running my self to death ever since. Soup, crackers, humidifiers, time for one med or another. My daughter woke up with a fever this morning, and promptly vomited twice before the 9:00 appointment with the doc that I made for both of them. Is there a germ free zone? I doubt it. I stayed home today to take care of both kids, and I may be home tomorrow as well if my dark side gets it.

1. Sorry to hear about your house full of sick people
It was that way here the last couple of weeks. SO and one kid had the flu. I didn't get it for some reason (whew!). Push fluids, encourage hand washing and good cough hygiene :-) Good luck. Eat right and rest when you can to keep your immune system strong!

2. I've been spraying Lysol, washing hands like mad
The kids have been told not to come out of their rooms unless necessary. i'll bring you crackers and gatorade if it will keep you from touching everything you pass between your room and the kitchen. I generally get sick if you look at me wrong (always have), so I figure I'm destined. I did get a nap in this afternoon when both kids were zonked, but it was a short one brought on by total exhaustion.

My poor baby girl came out for a drink a little while ago, and she was just shaking. She said "Mommy, I'm so hot, but I can't stop shaking." Welcome to the chills sweetie, back to bed with you.

3. I'd rather be sick myself
than see my kids sick. The poor babies!!! Good luck!

4. Just did another temp check
Daughter is climbing...she's up to 101.9 now. My son is currently fever free for the first time all day. Dished out the decongestants to both, motrin to her. Husband is bitching that the heat is killing him, could I turn it down? Sure, the rest of us will freeze because you're hot.

I hate to see my kids this sick, thank goodness it doesn't happen often. My husband is worse than the kids, sure he's about to die when he just has a cold. If this is the flu, and he gets it, I'm running away from home.

5. Take him to see the doctor (if you have insurance)
to see if its flu or not.

There are anti-virals that probably won't help him (has to be taken within 24 hours), but if he's positive for flu, the rest of the family can take them to keep it from spreading.
