Its was very nice. Dave & one of Carson's producers just talked about Johnny. Dave had Doc Severinson on who played Johnny's favorite song ('Heres that rainy Day') Plus Dave showed alot of clips of him & Johnny. I didn;t see Jay Leno's tribute, but Jay must be pissed he didn't have the clips Dave had. Johnny appeared several times on Dave's show in skit/cameos. You could clearly see Johnny had a lot of respect for Dave.

As if that was not enough, Dave's ENTIRE monolgue were all new written by Johnny! Carson wrote these & sent them to Dave & Dave didn;t have time to use them before he went on vacation last week. Something cool about hearing an entire monologue written by the late Johnny Carson!

3. It was lovely.....I liked the way Dave
did the whole monologue, which was all Johnny's jokes, and never let on they were Johnny's jokes until he was sitting down....I think Johnny would like that....the fact that the jokes got laughs on their own merits and not because the audience was being respectful of Johnny now that he's gone.....It was a typically classy tribute by Letterman.
