very little specifics. But didn't they have:

The Pain and The Great One

"Some kind of help is the kind of help that helpings all about
And some kind of help is the kind of help we all can do without"
(I can think of several examples)

7. I was aware of its existence, but I never had it.
Which is why I hate and fear people who are different. :scared::grr:

9. I was raised by freepers! I was deprived of such liberal materials
in my home  thank god for this:

or I'd be posting in a different forum now, eating pie and shooting libs between the eyes with a virtual slingshot.

11. Yes.
My feminist, yet anti-choice mom had all this stuff. I was told I could be whatever I wanted to be (as long as it fit her guidelines for me). Most excellent mixed message of a childhood there. :bounce:

12. In my early years of grade school,
our class always looked forward to watching that, especially Rosey Grier singing "It's Alright to Cry." You couldn't get away with a film like that nowadays without some group bitching about it.

13. My sister has it for her kids-I'd never heard of it before then
but I'm too old to have watched "Sesame Street", so what do I know. I do have fond memories of the original "Captain Kangaroo" and "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood".

It's sad what is happening to our country. I miss the hopefulness of the '70s.
