Strangers than piss you off.
I was just in a restaurant....no one else is in there except the one guy staring at the doughnuts. He seemed fairly engrossed in his hobby. So I figured I was okay to bypass the newspaper and order, I did that... just as I finish my order he stands behind me and grabs the paper. THE SOB just GRABBED it. Then he sat down and sat there looking at the front page picture and not reading it.

I wanted to commit foul acts of violence on this man who would deny everyone the pleasure of the newspaper just so e could stare at the front page.

What kinda strangers piss you off?

3. The ones who talk on their fucking cell phones...
Edited on Tue Feb-01-05 07:32 PM by Spider Jerusalem
in the queue at grocery stores, banks, etc. Totally fucking oblivious to the world around them. And people who talk on cell phones and feel the neeed to keep up a steady stream of commentary or conversation in theatres when I'm trying to watch the damned movie, too.

9. People who talk on their cell phones for the ENTIRE bus ride
My bus takes nearly an hour to transport me to school. I HATE it when someone (usually a young girl) gets on the bus with her phone up to her ear, then proceeds to yackety-yack the ENTIRE time. I even heard a girl once talking about how she might be pregnant and she needed to take a pregnancy test - she looked no more than 15! Who gabs about such things so publicly? Maybe I'm just an old fart.

But I've lost all pleasure in reading the paper since November. For some strange reason.

7. People that stand too close or cut in line
as if they don't see you standing there and the world revolves around them. People violate my personal space a lot I've noticed... like yesterday at the grocery store.. they just get too dammed close! I feel like one day I'm going to go from being mild mannered to a raging lunatic and scream... back the fuck up motherfucker!!!

8. People who take the elevator up 1 floor.
I work on the 14th floor, so I ride the elevator frequently. I can't imagine how many minutes of my days have been taken up by physically capable people riding the elevator up ONE FLOOR. I take the stairs for anything less that 4 floors.

I have noticed that many of these people could certainly use the exercise.

10. People, esp. v. large people who stand in the middle of a store aisle
chatting on their phone, or with somebody they've met, and not allowing anybody to pass. Those folks and people who walk r-e-a-l s-l-o-w. I move quickly. Slow people bug me.

18. Ah, the aisle blockers
One in particular made me want to scream last week. It was really crowded in the store because we were expecting snow--lots of people hurrying through getting supplies. So this really big woman on one of those little electric convenience carts blocks the aisle. I mean, there she is on her cart with her basket full of junk food, blocking the aisle and staring at syrup. For like five minutes. And you can't get around her because she and her cart are really big.

11. I've done studies on this.
My conclusion is 51% of the population simply needs a good swift kick in the ass to thwart their rudeness.

12. tailgaters..especially
when I'm already going over the speed limit and they just want to push me along instead of passing. Having been rear-ended at stop lights not once but twice, I tend to get slightly agitated when someone rides my bumper.

14. People who are about..
... to enter a huge store or mall who insist in blocking traffic in the parking lot as they wait for someone who has just got in their car to back out.

They are about to walk a mile around the goddam store but they are willing to waste my time so they can get a parking spot 50 feet closer to the door.

Fucking idiots. :)

15. The smelly, huffed-out derelict....
...who scared my four year old the first time she took the TTC pissed me off greatly.

Then there was the guy who thought it's be cool to stump for Preston Manning and the Reform party by singing an off key version of The Maple Leaf Forever pissed me off as well. Again on the TTC.

So, if there was a theme, weirdos who impose themselves on you when you're taking the subway tend to piss me off.

16. I just saw a bunchof others
Ran across the street to use the bank machine. On the way back I was standing at a corner and some guy was honking and I noticed why.A guy was about to turn the wrong way down a one-way street. I waved my arms and said "You can't go down that way!" No biggie, he just made mistake, hell who hasn't done that.

So I think it's all done and then when the light turns green everyone starts honking and yelling at the guy. Including bystanders.

These people are pricks, they just wanted to yell at the poor guy for no reason.

17. People who slow down to 1 mph before turning right
I realize people don't want to do a up-on-2-wheels-Dukes-of-Hazzard turn but come on....do they REALLY need to almost completely stop before turning right? Grrrrr...
