section; plus it's an NBC show):
Dear Countdown,
One of the shows featured on NBC, "American Dreams," which airs on Sundays from 8:00-9:00 PM is rumored to be cancelled for the fall, which given all the ridiculousless of the whole "Spongebob Squarepants" hoopla, is the real loser here. If there's something for Mr. Dobson to be "up in arms" about, it should be this.
According to Jonathan Prince, the series's producer, "American Dreams" has been pulled for the last two episodes of the season, and the chances of a season four are very slim.
http://www.sitcomsonline.com/americandreams/ According to The Parents Television Council's website, "American Dreams" was listed as one of the Top 10 Best Network TV Shows for Family Viewing in 2003-2004.
http://www.parentstv.org/PTC/publications/reports/top10bestandworst/main.asp To quote the PTC in its review of the series:
"These families are built on a foundation of strong traditional values and relationships rich in love. American Dreams is a great alternative to the teen soaps because it is focused on communicating positive messages while being historically informative and wonderfully entertaining..."
It may not be Countdown's job, for lack of a better term, to promote NBC shows, but I thought perhaps given "Spongebob-gate" :) , this might be something worth mentioning; plus, I really love "American Dreams," and I hate to see if go off the air.
Thanks for listening. Keep up the great work. Countdown, for what it's worth, next to American Dreams, are the only things worth watching on TV these days as far as I'm concerned (and I'm not just saying that).
