I'm not afraid or anything, but I still can't sleep for some reason. I really don't need to now anyway, since I expect to be doing quite a lot of sleeping for the next couple of days.

I can relate to being awake on nights before surgery (I am the major surgery poster child - long story).

Make sure you get plenty of rest afterwards, and get out of the hospital as soon as you can, since no one can get any sleep in those places.
