onLine friend is giving me a gift

i Lost my home computer some time back (it was so poLLuted by viruses/spyware it died a sLow death).

anyhow, one of my onLine friends offered up a computer to me... his father apparentLy coLLects them up whenever some one/company is dumping their oLd ones.
never one to Look a gift horse in the mouth, i excitedLy accepted (if his dad was wiLLing to part with one).

i found out today, that his father wiLL happiLy reLinquish one to me, but FIRST, he needs to taLk to me. (i guess just to feeL me out, and to thank him)

i'm unduLy nervous. i think he's in his 80's and i have no idea how this is going to go. i aLso don't want to say the wrong thing. i'm aLso extremeLy out of practice with deaLing with the greatest generation.

and to think - i thought getting the computer from deLaware was gonna be the tricky part.
