1. The triplets -- Christian, Jordan and Alexandra.
They are small, nearly 3 years old. Though tall for their age, like the rest of us.

3. Yes, coffee in the AM
my two wonderful sons and without wanting to sound maudlin, all of you here at DU. Things are getting heated and we are going to need each other even more I am afraid. Oh yes, the birds and animals make me happy.

7. Someone who understands me
at least as much as another can, and puts up with my "pecadillos."

A job that pays enough to not only survive, but be able to send extra money to my former family.

Good health, though I thought I was going to die during the muffler replacement today.

A cat that doesn't, most of the time, try to rip my face apart.

Stability.

10. Here's a recipe for you...
http://icuban.com/food/cafe_cubano.html

WONDERFUL stuff. (Best made with Cuban-type coffee, such as Cafe Bustelo, which is what I use...you might be able to find it at an international market if there's one in your area.)

19. My Cali-Cat
Coming up on the couch and flopping next to me like there's no where she'd rather be.

Burrowing under the comforter on a crisp autumn morning.

My BF, telling me he called because he felt like hearing my voice.

21. The smell of crisp fall air in the morning
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 08:19 PM by Rabrrrrrr
The sound of children playing
A good book
Mahler's music
Getting a seat on the train in rush hour
A smile from a retail clerk
A thank you from someone for holding the door for them
Waking up while it's still dark outside and starting another day
My 30 minute walk across Manhattan at the end of the day to the subway, in which I pass the Empire State Building and have time for myself to do nothing but walk and meditate
And, of course, that cup of morning coffee and the end-of-day martini

22. Gotta go with Coffee as #1...
best cup I ever had was out in the boonies; put grounds in a clean sock, boiled water in a helmet, through in sock and waited about 15 min's. Hot, strong and delicious!

:donut:

As for anything else, there are billions:

the laughter of children

warmth on a stormy night

being able to soothe someone that has has a bad time

voting pug's out of office

the list is endless.

Thanks for the thread start, it reminded me to make a pot of Java and relax for a bit.

:hi:

26. Thomas the Tank Engine
Without my favorite useful engine, his train friends and wooden tracks, my 2 year would be stuck to me like glue. While I love him dearly, I often like to go to the bathroom, shower, eat, read, and do other things.
