1. Some people are going to find this post offensive.
I, however, think it's the funniest fucking post of the day. :7

7. That is just plain mean
I remember that day. He had just been released on bail pending the the murder trial for killing his girlfriend. Richard Branson and Virgin Records bailed him out. The early days of the rebel billionaire.

9. On second thought
I reacted a bit quick. It was a little mean, but funny. I take no offense and have had a laugh about it too. I was a fan, and I remember worrying about his trial, then being told he died. The man had talent. He was only 21 when he died. Anyway, no worries, it wasn't that mean, and it was pretty funny.

19. Perhaps, though that talent seems not to have been playing bass
Don't get me wrong, I think he was a riot, and oddly endearing, especially before he became really strung out. His cover of My Way still kills me, especially since it emerged at the time when Sinatra and those others were making fools of themselves trying to appeal to the very same "dirty hippy" generation that they had pompously degraded five years earlier.

However, I wonder about some people who seriously take him up as a sort of hero, when he should really be viewed as an example of the potential tragedy of drug abuse. Sid & Nancy was horrifically depressing in that respect.

10. Hehehe, that's harsh . . .
But his T-shirt is hilarious :)

Sid was definitely one of a kind (what that kind is, I'm still not sure).

20. No
I just read some of the reviews there and it sounds like it might be a good book. Both of their lives were pretty messed up.

18. Johnny cracks me up
When I saw the Pistols in the 90s, every time someone would walk by with a Sid shirt Johnny had something nasty to say to them.

24. I think he did. Even though they may have been ridiculous, they
were so original and really did spark a movement that gave us the Clash, the Jam, Souxie and the Banshees, the English Beat and many others
