I heard something like that once, is it true?

Even if it isn't, maybe I'll just go put some on anyway and pray it will help inspire me as I try to rewrite some of my crappy ass book.

4. I've heard that
Something about the complexity of it - it makes your brain work harder or some such thing.

I obviously don't listen to enough! :silly:

5. I've heard that too, along with
if you do puzzles of any kind, but particularly stuff like crosswords, you help stave off dementia/Alzheimers and your overall memory improves.

9. Dr. Weird is misinformed.
BUT if you LIKE classical music or are open to it, try the Godfather of TECHNO, W.A. Mozart. I'd suggest Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (a little night music) for a start. TRY IT! You might LIKE IT!

10. Yes, music does boost brain power.
It's all incorporated in the Baby Einstein series of books, video, cd's...

Actually, the Mozart = Brain power thing was pretty much debunked a couple of years ago, but it did help to sell lots of CDs.

See here: http://skepdic.com/mozart.html

I happen to work for an orchestra these days. It's the only job I've ever had where the entire office staff is 100% Dem.
