2. Most every indie artist has been trying to recapture that moment since.

3. It's about time!
It was a classic the minute it came out. Love that album, that voice.

7. I have a couple of Tim's albums too
but not that one. I have Goodbye and Hello, and Dream Letter Live in London.

When I first bought it a few years ago, I listened to it for days on end, amazed. Just beautiful.

6. I listened to it
stoned, I get a buzz now everytime I play it. Bought it in 1969 while in the Army in Baltimore.

8. Another one to get is
"Dream Letter", "Live in London". "Dolphins" is fantastic.

10. Sorry to Rain on the Praise
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 10:11 PM by Stevendsmith
But I bought "Grace" a couple weeks ago, after reading gushing praise for this album by my all-time musical hero, Neil Peart.

I recognize Buckley's vocal talent, and he has an excellent band, but where's the melody? Where are the compositions? This is dreary, meandering stuff IMHO.

This album did nothing for me. I listened to it several times in search of the magical, "transformative" experience that many of the reviews promised.

It just did nothing.

I'm baffled by all of the effusive praise for this album.

Maybe someday I'll "get it." I certainly wanted to.

11. He had several albums
that never caught on and were'nt any good, but my favorites are "Happy Sad" and "Dream Letter", if you're talking about Tim. I have one of Jeffs and it's OK.
