I'm watching Made on MTV(it amuses me) and anyway this girly girl wants to become a BMX rider and her coach is Australian.... and his accent is really sexy.

I am an Australian (well technically an immigrant) and I find that if I go away for a while, when I get back to Oz, hearing the accent is really grating.

I get told all the time that I don't sound Australian though - I think too many folks think we all sound like the bloody Crocodile Hunter or Crocodile Dundee (why do all our cultural exports have to involve crocodiles!)

I think that's one of the reasons I watched "Farscape" so damn much. I could sit and listen to Claudia Black recite the phone book and I wouldn't move a single bit.

Perhaps it's just because I'm so used to hearing words spoken without any inflections (I live in Minnesota, and no matter what the movie "Fargo" says, there are few accents like that where I live.) that when someone speaks and I hear something different, I notice.
