LF talks about men & women
We humans as a group tend to put men and women into groups and seem to forget that every man and woman is as diffrent as nigt and day. Both men and women say "why can't I understand them!". That is is an esay question to answer, instead of thinking "group" try thinking "person".
With this type of thinking one must remember what Bob/Jane liked may not be the same for Joe/Jill. This applies to everything from a date, to the bedroom.

2. Yes that happens...
But to group people like that will not make it any better. Once we stop grouping and see people as one of a kind the better it will be.

5. I know
I am not the stereotypical woman and my husband is not a stereotypical man. For example, I am the one who always loses things and doesn't know where its at, while my husband puts everything in a particuliar place and usually even knows where my lost item is. I feel out of place when women at work complain that their husband's lose everything because they don't put it in a particuliar place "because men are like that". On the otherhand, sometimes I say "Why do you have to be such a man sometimes?" when he is behaving in a stereotypical masculine way that I'm not particulairly happy about. Really though, it is good to get to know people before you make assumptions. The may be evolutionary and social pressures that make men and women more likely to be one way or the other but everyone is still different especially in a society that values individualism somewhat.
