For you Beatles fans..........
I found a great streaming website that plays Beatles all the time.
The Link:
http://www.beatlesarama.com/

It's nice having it run in the background as I work. I hope you enjoy it.

3. Was your band a cover band or.............
did you play similar music?
I go through phases and right now I'm on a Beatles kick. It's like all of a sudden I re-discovered them. My band has been playing a ton of Beatles recently just for the fun of it. LOL, we've just about play the whole Concert for George set. It's a lot of fun.

4. We do our own
The guitar player in the band sent our music there a few years back and they started playing it. I was heavily influenced by Lennon and I write the songs in the band so I guess they thought some of our stuff sounded like The Beatles.
We do play a lot of Beatles during rehearsals, but we play mainly originals for gigs. We might throw in "I am the walrus", "Hey Bulldog" or something like that here and there, but mainly we do our own stuff.
"Concert for George" is a great show. I have watched that at least 25 times so far. I love the Indian stuff in the beginning.

5. I stopped playing gigs a couple of years ago..........
but missed the camaraderie and working on chops so I got together some local guys, some I knew and some I didn't, just to get together once a week and work on stuff. Since I have no intention of playing out it takes all the stress off and we have fun just playing what we want without worrying if it's dance able or whatever. We have about 40 tunes down now and it's nice to know that we are good enough to play out if we wanted.
What is really nice about it is that I'm the only one in the group who has ever played out, did it for about ten years, and these were guys who basically sat around their house and played but didn't have a lot of confidence in their abilities. Now they are singing, covering leads and having a blast doing it. Actually a couple of them are diamonds in the ruff and would do very well playing out.
It gives me a break from work and for a couple of hours a week I don't think about anything but the music.

6. "The horror...the horror..."
I love the Beatles. But the guy in the next cell put a Beatles 24/7 station on and we finally had to tell him to turn it off. I told him I like the Beatles, but if he keeps playing it, I'll start to get sick of them. And I don't want that to happen. 24/7 of ANYTHING is not a good thing.
