CUBS WIN!
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 09:57 PM by Bozita
5-1

I listened to the game on internet radio.

No pictures, just the words of the announcers. Just like the old days.

All in all, a very enjoyable experience.

7. Oh, no.
It can be Cubs-Red Sox, but there is no way that the Red Sox are getting past my Yankees. They have to beat the A's first, too! I think that the A's will beat the Sox, the A's will beat the Cubs, and then the Yanks will beat the A's. It doesn't really matter if it's the Cubs or the A's against my Yankees, did you see how they played today? They were incredible! :)

10. Can't Happen
Cubs won't play the A's unless it's in the World Series.

14. my son says...
first of all, in order for the Yankees to get to the World Series, they have to play the A's, not the A's playing the Cubs.

second of all, my son predicts that this year for the Red Sox will be like 1999, when they rallied from two games to none down to win the division series, and even though they didn't get past the Yankees, my son has a feeling the Sox are gonna get past them
this year.

(my son is a Sox fan, btw...)

17. You didn't watch? Too bad. You missed
An amazing "catch" by Lofton (it was a catch, but wasn't ruled as one). Either way, it was a beautiful play.

22. The radioplay was terrific. I have a mental image of the catch.
I'll kinda savor it until I turn on the TV.

27. Woohoo! They had me worried on Saturday!
But, as I said to Liza, "Think of how much property damage there would have been if they'd won the series at Wrigley."

C ya,
