I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he just worded it poorly (we all have our days when the keyboard is not our friend). I didn't really see anything that was too over the top. Of course, he chose a poor time to post something like that, as it seems we are under a "freeper" attack on multiple boards.

I still see your point about not feeling very charitable at this point. I don't know if you read the "gay news," but it has been filled with nothing but bad news for the past few days and I am just sick of it.

I appreciate this a bunch. Yeah, it's bad news all round for us right now. You know what makes it worse? When I get email updates about all this bad news from the Human Rights Campaign -- one of "our" biggest lobbying outfits -- and I think, "oh, that's a nice neat summary of the biggest shit sandwich of my political life so far" -- and at the end there are forty-two links to "DONATE NOW!"

I know HRC is working for me. But it is very, very, very hard not to be cynical when all I get from that group is fucking appeals for more fucking money.
