8. Hard to say.

I hardly ever start a thread, they drop like stones no matter what they are about. It wasn't until recently that I noticed people were actually replying to me. I was stunned and happy about it. Now I get some responses and have to try not to respond back quite so quickly so as not to look like a needy child, lol.

It really has more to do with the time of the day, day of the week, number of DU'ers reading and posting, and sheer luck. Title and subject matter, too.

Just my opinion.

Women get a ton of responses, guys not as much. Although maybe it depends on the site, and the ratio of men to women.

My friend tried the eharmony site, which matched him up with a lot of women. Of course, he's still sifting through them and not found one specific woman yet.

40. Agree, if you're a guy, you have to go out and contact the women first,

not expect them to reply to you. That's just how it works. Because the women are getting a TON of replies and so they get too busy to surf other ads, usually.
