90's rock fans: I need your help!!!
Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 01:14 AM by SmileyBoy
There's a certain song I need to know the title of. It was a rock song made sometime in the 1990's. I'm 95 percent sure that the band has the word "Sponge" in its name (I think the band could possibly be named "The Sponge", but I'm not confident on that). It's NOT a Christian rock song, because it got regular airplay on regular new rock stations. I don't know most of the words (if any), but it goes something like this (unknown lyrics are followed by (???)):

Say a prayer for me,
(Say a prayer for me)
Say a prayer for me,
(Say a prayer for me)
Say a prayer for me
(Say a prayer for me),
Fall into the ground(???)

In a world of (sounds like "Humourists"??),
In a world of (sounds like "Humourists"??),
In a world of (sounds like "Humourists"??),
And I'm lost and I'm found (???) and I can't touch the ground (???)
Fall into the ground (???)...

(Guitar solo)

Does ANYBODY know what this song could possibly be???

Morpheus is just BEGGING me to download this one!!!

1. I think it's called plow or plowed

I have the song going in my head, but I can't remember the name of the band. I just heard that song not too long ago, too.

I think he's saying "In a world of human wreckage." And I think it's "Plowed into the ground" rather than "Fall into the ground."

From the album "Rotting Pinata."

I used to have that CD. They sure rocked... but were kind of a one hit wonder (like so many bands in the 90s).

Here's the Amazon link:

5. Plowed
will i wake up
is it a dream i made up
no i guess it's reality
what will change us
or will we mess up
our only chance to connect
with a dream

say a prayer for me
i'm buried by the sound
in a world of human
wreckage
i'm lost and i'm found
and i can't touch the
ground
i'm plowed into the sound

to see wide open
with a head that's broken
hang a life on a tragedy
plow me under the ground
that covers the message
that is the seed
