We think we've had it hard in the Dem party being out of power. How do you think the Cubbies fans feel?

I'm dropping my usual avatar in favor of my Chicago-brethren who never stopped believing.

I'd love to see the Cubs or Red Sox win. The Cubs, because all my favorite sports teams are from Chicago...and the Sox because we could all be spared (for a little while, anyway) of their "We're so put upon being a $100-million-plus-juggernaut that likes to pretend we're the little guy fighting against the Yankees" act they've been peddling for centuries.

Edited to add: I've been a Cubs fan my whole life even though I grew up in the schizophrenic area of central Illinois (lots of Cards' fans there because we were so close to St. Louis). My mom was the Cubs # 1 fan!
