Why don't sick people stay home?

I caught the flu. I've been home since Monday (early) afternoon. Fever of 101 until this morning, head and chest congestion, body aches, raw throat, no energy, no appetite.

I'd be willing to bet that I caught this from someone at my son's drill meet last weekend.

Anyway, I missed a whole week's work because someone felt too indispensable to miss a drill meet.... this while the flu shot was not widely available this year--so the person who went out while sick did so knowing that they were putting a lot of unvaccinated people at risk.

Sick people: STAY HOME!!!!!

1. No health insurance, No sick pay, and kids to feed.

Some people have to work while ill.

I wish it wasn't so, but we live in the USA where healthcare is a joke.

Not saying that this was the case in your situation, but when I see someone sick at work I feel nothing but pity for them.

However, with that said, I was the only person in my department of 4 people today since everyone else is sick. It was a long day. Get to feeling better!
