Windows 95 question...

I think I have all the diskettes (1.44 Floppies) to re-install Windows 95, but since I moved I might have lost one or more.

I have 1 through 22 disk and the Setup Boot Disks for a total of 23 diskettes. Is this the correct amount?

2. My fiance thinks so but it depends on what version of Windows 95

you have. Different versions had different number of disks.

I bought my Win95B (B- the latest version with USB support) on CD years ago from a bargain dealer for $25, sealed and with the OEM resistration

- and CD's are SOOO much more convenient than loading a whack of floppies in one at a time

4. I seem to remember different numbers

of disks for different versions. Some of the stuff is optional and so you don't necessarily need all the disks.

But floppies can go bad over time and so maybe some are bad.

A pretty good check is to start to go through the diskcopy process (for the floppy) and then abort at the write part. (Make sure the floppies are write protected.)

I would recommend going to OSR2 if you don't have it. -- Win98SE is my preference, but it is bigger and some hardware just isn't up to it.

Oh, and 22 + 1 sounds about right.
