Later today, we're setting up a new forum for social announcements, get-togethers, vanity posts, etc. It will be the place where you can post stuff like:

Bay Area DU BBQ
Hey, I just got 100 posts
It's my birthday
I've got a layover in St. Louis, anyone want to meet for coffee?
First meeting of the DU New York chapter
Etc.

Unless you give us a better name, we're gonna call it the "Social Announcements Forum." I hope we don't have to.

Please take a minute, and let us know your ideas for the name.

21. Call me morbid, but I looked up "A Day In The Lounge: 9/11/2001."

It reads like a stream of consciousness nightmare. Lots of DU-ers popping in to say hi, and then: ACT OF TERRORISM!!!!!!

Still scared the willies out of me. That was only a week or so before I quit lurking and joined up.

Remember the balmy days when we thought Georgie Boy would just nap and play GameBoy for four years, and then hand the reins to someone who knew what he was doing? We're in a nightmare that started on September 11, 2001, and it's getting worse at a geometrical rate. When will we WAKE UP!?!?
