My poor cats
They are curled up on my bed right now. Both of them so happy. Little do they know that in a few days they will meet their future step brother--a dog. They are so innocent and happy now. They have been around my parent's dog, but she doesn't bark, she is much bigger than they are so they can hide, and she doesn't even react when they hiss at her. But their future stepbrother is loud, small, and likely to try to lick them to death. I feel sorry for them.

6. The sacrifices you make for love
The only saving grace in all of this is the fact that the dog can't jump well and so the bed will always be safe for them to hide in peace. But still they are so innocent. At least they won't have to live with a dog until the end of the summer.

7. What love is more important than the love of a cat?
Answer: None. Tell the future significant other to lose the noisy dog or it's over. Your cats may not live as long or provide the security of the "other" but they are beautiful, they have beautiful coats, and they won't give you any shit intentionally. In the name of the great cat goddess, draw a boundary and shun the step brother. You know it's the right thing to do. We have cats and two large dogs. The dogs are very respectful and the biggest dog and several of the cats actually kiss every now and then. Anything more extreme than this is not cat-worthy.
