1. Three Boleros
Beck's Bolero, by Jeff Beck

The original version of The Bomber, by the James Gang, featuring a very rare uncut version of the Bolero section by Joe Walsh.

And of course the original, if you can still stand it after all these years.

I'm not familiar w/ the artists. I just like the way the songs sound, haha. I prefer trios

6. Depends on whether you were listening to older or newer ones

Trio Los Panchos is a traditional group that does boleros, as are Trio Vegabajeño.

Luis Miguel, a Mexican singer has a fabulous disc of traditional boleros..you can listen to some of them here:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2003842&cat=4113&type=4&dept=4104&path=0%3A4104%3A4113%3A5060%3A38049

His voice is fabulous so if you are just starting out, this would be worth buying..La Barca is one of my all time favorite songs and he does it incredibly well...the high guitar doing the solo is a guitar called a RAYMUNDO...it plays a short scale so it has a high sweet tone

7. I got one from Trio Los Panchos
It was good. I guess I'm into the older ones because the one i heard at the wedding was from my grandparents' time which wasn't that long ago (early 60s?) but it sounded pretty old school

10. I wonder
Edited on Sat Feb-05-05 02:20 AM by GRLMGC
I really don't know. It kinda bummed me out. Like reminding me of a past I didn't experience and looking at the dreary present. Sigh. It was very pretty though. Wait, they were in El Salvador at the time. So is that song famous in the U.S? Or all around the world?
