I've had the wackiest political conversation ever
A friend of mine is the VP of the College Republicans, and before I brought him over to our apartment, I warned him that we're all a bunch of flaming liberals. Anyway, talk quickly turned to politics, and we discussed just about everything there is to discuss over several hours. Like crazy foreign policy, social security, the economy, personal freedom, conspiracies and really wacky shit. More on that later, but I'm pretty tired now.

But towards the end (like a few minutes ago) he and us got into a very heated debate over Bush's TANG service vs. Kerry's Vietnam service. The poor guy felt we were disrespecting the National Guard. We happened to say that Bush and his buddies didn't fight for our freedom. All of us had military in our family and friends, but we saw the issue differently. So we yelled at each other very loudly for a while (three liberals against this poor guy) then he stormed off in a huff and went home.

I feel like an asshole and don't want him to hate us, so now what do I do?

any ideas?

God I had the worst feeling in my gut when I found out I had a crush on a republican, I am not that bothered by it because I am not that partisan and besides I have a bigger crush on a dem.

7. Yeah, I've been there
I usually date liberal/moderate girls but occasionaly fall for a conservative. It's usually not an issue unless she makes it an issue. I'm pretty chill about these things, there's lots of other stuff to talk about besides politics.
