Describe the freeper attitude in full context.
or rednecks....anyone that supports bush.
how does their mind think?
do they even think?

I'm asking this because someone said quote:

I've discovered (recently, for me) that almost anyone who supports Bush can be talked to until they realize that
Bush, by himself, is not an intelligent human being, and that he's done little (if any good) throughout his presidency...these people admit that he his a poor choice to be the leading face of america. They shrug, and often admit that they're not really sure why they voted for him. Ten minutes later, sometimes a half hour, the same person will again be supporting every vague remark made that is even vaguely pro-bush....they will again be throwing their full weight behind him.

I was just wondering if anyone has an explanation for this behavior.

So can you help explain?

1. They are afraid to admit they misjudged so badly...and want to believe
that they have good judgement of character. And are unwilling to believe they could be so off...(rather don't want to admit they were fooled and made a fool of)

2. Their support of chimp and the repugs
is due to the repugs appealing to the baser instincts of people like this. Fear and greed, bigotry get many of these people to vote against their best interests. The fact that they fall back into their rut can be attributed to the reinforcement they've been given by the media in this country. The repugs have made it too easy for people to be lulled into this false sense of security by reading the paper or watching the TV news or listening to talk radio.

3. I feel sorry for them and their bad decisions
At least we can say we didn't vote for Bush and our hands are clean of the bloodshed in Iraq. www.icasualties.org.

4. Many people think, like Reagan...
... that "facts are stupid things."

People also want their views (and their votes) validated, even if they did not arrive at those views and votes through logical processes and fact-finding. So, even if one is able to hammer away at their logic, they'll eventually return to what validates their own opinions.

We all do this to some extent, but it's more pronounced in the true believer, who is dependent upon faith to support his beliefs, rather than on facts.

Cheers.

6. How true
But one must ask themselves if they were provided with accurate information when they made a decision that could cost them their lives. This is where our country, under Bush, has blood on its hands.

8. I think they sort of use the mis-quote. 'My country right or wrong.'
Bush is into all those jingoisms and they all go along with it. The country was set up for people to reason things out. We came from the ideology of the Enlightenment where reason was the base and not blind faith. Most of these people do not think that way.

9. I believe that they think that talking never works and you have to be
aggressive to get your point accross. This is found in numerous of their ideas from Iraq, UN, parenting, etc.
