Did anyone else feel sick watching "Treat Matix"?

Is it just me, or is this show intent on perpetuating the myth that Iraq is a big bad boogy man intent on shoving anthrax up our nose and dropping nuclear bombs on our christmas trees?

1. every drama on tv is like that

And people love it. All those Law & Order shows, cop shows, detective shows, CIA shows, FBI, ect...

7. 24 isn't like that!

And it's a Fox show! Hell if I didn't know any better I'd swear it was written by liberals. The storyline last season involved terrorists that had a nuclear bomb and threatened to detonate it over LA. This group was supposedly financed and supported by "three Middle Eastern countries". POTUS (a moderate black Dem) didn't want to to go war. He had no choice but to order retalitatory military strikes after the bomb went off (no one was hurt though), but it turns out the evidence linking the terrorists to the ME govts was made up, and the whole thing was a conspiracy by the hawks in the administration to justify going to war. It turns out the hawks were tied to oil interests. Sound familiar?!

I saw Threat Matrix and it so SUCH a pathetic ripoff of 24, only without the good story and with a decidedly reich-wing spin. The ep I saw mentioned Hannity! That's when I turned it off.

2. Along those lines, it must be nice to be able to work in a

police department which has all kinds of time and resources which can be used to their fullest extent to figure out, not only that the seeming suicide was indeed murder (from a burnt-matchstick found 30 yards away), but also the perpetrator and have enough evidence to convict.

Ah, yes, but all the security people couldn't put reports of named Saudis paying cash to learn to fly (not take off and land) 747s, reports of possible hijackings in the very near future, and a report from James Woods about some guys who were observing everything that went on during a flight, together to figure out that something was up.

Oh, yes, they did put out an alert in the middle of August.

The airline industry (which had been charging all this time for the non-existent security) was given a memo, not to be too widely distributed, saying - "Be cautious" - something that was a bit more vague than your daily horoscope in the newspaper comics section.

4. Threat matrix starring Sean Hannity

its a total freeper program.

5. Watch MI-5 instead

if you want a national security thriller drama. It's a British drama and many of the people are a little too good looking, but it's quite decent.

and what a load of crap it was...so much so, I wrote to Bartcop about it and he posted my letter! Predictable Shrub loving propaganda. I hope it tanks in the ratings.
