What to see in Oregon, and Utah for a Canadian.
A friend is going down from B.C. along the coast to Califoria then up to Utah. His brother is getting married in Utah, where he plans to visit for a week. He said he wants to see visit Oregon along the way.

1. The scenery is just beautiful
I don't know much about the attractions in those states along the west coast, but I love the country. If your friend is into hiking, there are probably a lot of places along the way that would make for a good journey into the wilderness.

2. The Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City
Even as a little kid, I was blown away by that place. :hi:

3. Multnomah Falls, definitely,
Maryhill Museum and the Stonehenge memorial across the Columbia River in Washington. The drive out the Columbia River Gorge is beautiful.

4. he should consider going down the coastal way and returning
via Wyoming, Idaho, Montana which would allow a side trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. (7 day pass good in both parks is only $20)

also in Utah, Arches, Monument Valley, Great Salt Lake

I would definitely recommend doing a loop trip, as the diversity of scenery would be tremendous.
