Oh Firefox, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!

Oh Firefox, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

1) I love thee when I click on a link using the scroll-wheel to open the link in a new tab.

2) I love thee for all wonderful extensions, such as:

2a) I love thee Mouse Gestures 1.0
Allows you to execute common commands with the mouse. That doesn't sound like a big deal, but once you've tried it you don't go back. (For example, instead of clicking the "back" button to see the previous page, I hold my right-button down and make a quick mouse gesture to the left... and BAM ... I'm at the previous page. It makes surfing much faster.)

2b) Bug Me Not 0.6.1
Bypass compulsory web registration! Bwhahahahaha!!!! Just for this feature alone I would have switched to Firefox AND actually paid for the privilege.

2c) Gmail Notifier 0.4
I'm still experimenting with Gmail... so far so good. I like the notifier.

3) I love thee for the way animated gifs work so smoothly!

4) I love thee for blocking all the pop-ups!

4) I love thee for faster page-loads!

5) I love thee because I can automatically bookmark all the tabs at once into a folder by going Ctrl+D and then clicking the checkbox to bookmark all tabs.

6) And most of all, I love thee for not being a Microsoft product

...

List all the reasons you love Firefox!

2. Firefox rules, IE drools
As a sysadmin I have to deal with the garbageman aspects of users using IE. I give 'em Firefox. Life is then good. Spyware infestation ? Problem solved. Gives me time for impotent things, like the latest BOFH & PFY.

3. Try Opera
comes bundled with a boatload of good bookmarks, including Anonymizer (can anyone imagine M$ bundling that proggie? rhetorical question)...doesn't use ActiveX and is coded for tabbed browsing. And Opera syncs into IE favorites so no need to import the hundreds of sites you already have.

I'm using Exploiter because I'm too lazy to install Opera after a HDD crash.

Why did I even click on this thread? I have absolutely nothing to add. I have Firefox...installed by a friend. Don`t know what it is, don`t know why I have it. Good grief! I just recently mastered the "Caps Lock" key and you want to know about some kinda Firefox?

I`m an old country girl with near zero computer skills, so I`ll bow out of this conversation. I did want to mention that the fellow in red that you have gyrating for our entertainment brought a smile to my face. Now I`ll have to do a little research on #3 and learn about gifs.

Peace....
