How awful is that? I was a bachelor, for Pete's sake, and I had a fer-chrissakes STATION WAGON. Ugh. My life was a mess back then. It's much better now.

10. 1971 Chevy Chevelle
Not a bad car at all. However I made the mistake of trading it off for a '77 Chevelle. Now that was a hunk of crap. What a terrible year for cars. Had two Chevys and 1 Ford from that model year. Garbage, all of 'em.

14. 58 Ford Station Wagon--gunmetal grey
My parents traded in my lovely 57 Ford coup, bought themselves a new car and gave me their piece of crap. Got rid of it real soon and bought my friend's VW Beetle. Had "foreign" cars ever since... except for the 2002 Ford truck I now have in addition to my Toyota Celica convertible. (Another Ford piece of crap, but the price and mileage was right and I use it only to haul stuff.)

Off white interior with black trim. Manual transmission on the floor.

It was one of the best cars I've ever owned. It about killed me when I had to trade it in.

23. Don't worry
none of all the people that tell you how much money it was worth would have ever actually shown you any cash!

Mustangs - the myth of how much they are worth! Talk about urban legends. Drove a baby blue '65 - man what that car is worth! Never saw DIME of real money till it actually got sold for around 600 bucks - not bad for a 20 year old ford. Its a lie folks.

25. 1981 Datsun 210 station wagon, first one I bougt new
but it was white with a blue interior not the ugly ass orange.

I too remember that color, which appears to be making a comeback as I have seen several cars with an equally ugly ass orange color around here.

anyway I drove it for 175000 miles, and loved it. It had a 5 speed stick shift and I could get an enormous amount of stuff into it.

Not-owned-by-me beater pawned off on me and my sibs by Mom -- Beater #2, that is: Buick LeSabre (don't know the year, but I drove it in '72; beater #1 was a pale yellow Chevy Impala that I loved).

With power everything. It was powder blue and I wish I had a picture of it. Just think Huge Tail Fins! This was a fast car. All the Lincolns I've owned have been superior fast vehicles despite the popular conception of them as being junky chromium clad beasts.
