No more popsicles...boo...
I have a sore throat and I want a Popsicle, I was over my aunt's house earlier and they had Popsicles but we don't have any here. We do have some nasty freezer burnt creamsicles from god knows when.

The conversation I just had with my dad as I was rooting around in the freezer

him: What are you doing?
me: Looking for Popsicles
him: Why?
me: I have a sore throat
him: Why would you have a sore throat?

oy vey, what kind of a question is that?

1. How did you answer that?
I'd have to say something like "I don't know, ask my throat".

2. I just ignored him...
he always asks impossible to answer questions like that...Over the years I've learned to just block them out

4. Well, you could at least grab an ice cube
If there are any...My kids tend to raid the tray and leave it empty.

3. I have some popsicles here, boo
They're the Edy's fruity kind.

My kid calls them pocksicables.

6. I hope you feel better soon
I'm finally feeling better, but my husband is sick, and now my toddler seems to be getting the same cold again. Woke up with a fever last night.

Aaaauuugh.

8. C'mon over.
I think we're just a 4-hour plane ride away.

I have strawberry and lime left.

10. I'm heading to bed.
Just ring the door bell when you get here.
I'll leave the porch light on for you.

12. Make your own...
if you don't have one of those little plastic doohickeys, just fill an ice tray with any juice, Kool-aid, or whatever lying around and stick toothpicks or something in the cubes.

Could freeze chocolate milk like that, too.

The only problem is the lack of instant gratification.

13. It's already 1:45am...
that would take too long to freeze.

I used to make those homemade Popsicles as a kid, brings back good memories

15. If you haven't hit the sack yet...
take a half glass of very warm (not hot!) water, stir in 1/2- 1 teaspoon salt and gargle! That's what's recommended by dentists and doctors for mouth/throat pain.
Tomorrow- chicken soup! Bon santé!

14. My kids put Capri Suns in the freezer
When they get slushy they open the tops and eat it with a spoon.

The only problem is that then they throw the spoon out with the empty package. My good stainless steel spoons.
