still did the right thing, sleep and fluids are the way. Glad you are feeling better. My favorite things when I feel like that are the warm water bed,(or the small electric blanket, the sofa and the cable remote) four cats, hot tea in large quantities
, Lipton Chicken Noodle soup . No dairy, no coffee my body just won't even let me have them. Funny thing the first sign that I am truly getting a virus as opposed to just a sinus thing is that I can't abide the thought of coffee..even good coffee..and tea is all I want. Oh yeah, sometimes I will have little pre virus indicators like shooting pains in all my old injuries, even my internal abdominal scars from past surgeries. It is the 'uh oh' here it comes signal.
However, the real honest to Pete flu you would have gone from feeling fairly normal to fever in a very short time, and the fever usually spikes high..then you feel as though several trains ran over you and then your hair hurts and this lasts at least 3 days, or until fever is gone. You chill and sweat a lot. Sore throat usually does not precede genuine flu. These are the main flags that separate true flu from all other Upper Respiratory illnesses.
You could also have picked up an exposure to a flu strain that you have already had, or have been vaccinated against in the past.
Hope you continue to improve and knock this thing off by Monday morning.
