Who should I (a non sports fan) root for today?

I could give a flying fuck bout football but I am going to a Super bowl party (My wife is the sports junkie).

I know nothing about the teams. I thought T.O. stood for truth out. Apparently it's some football guy.

I have been told that both of the teams are from blue states so I can't use that as a scientific device. I also think I heard that one of the teams is looking to three peat. If this is the case, I have to root for the other team. If I root for the underdog, what is the spread? Of course I will put money on the results but my sports reasoning will have more to do with politics than stats.

yeah rush called the patriots socialists, but don't you think that saying on national television that donovan mcnabb is overrated because the media wants to see a black quarterback succeed is a little worse than calling someone a socialist?

that's not why i want them to win, i have my own reasons (i've always loved mcnabb and TO and andy reid is a class act) but GO EAGLES
