I haven't engaged in this behavior recently, but I would be lying if I said I haven't flirted a little for things or just to boost my ego. I admit that as a college student I would go on dates with people I really didn't like because my school loan money was almost gone. I've never had sex with anyone for things, but I can recall receiving quite a few things (concert tix, a scholarship to a legal conference, coffee, drinks, etc.) because men thought I might like them more than I did.

I find it embarrassing, but I think it's an ugly phase for a lot of young women.

I suppose sexuality has brought me other things if unintensionally. I have noticed the more attractive I am, the better I am treated. If I'm my normal semi-hot chick self, all is well. However, back when I was hugely pregnant with another little kid in my arms, no makeup, hair in a ponytail, and sweatpants, when I needed a little more special treatment, I didn't get it. I didn't get a second look. Now I'm back in better shape, feeling better and looking better, now men want to hold the door for me again, etc. Okay, not all men are like this, but its been my experience overall.
