70. seamless pandering commercialism
starts out with "Drive My Car" and oh, by the way, Fox just happened to be hyping NASCAR all night, and then plays the theme song from a James Bond movie? Is there a new James Bond movie out soon, possibly from 20th Century Fox?

7. Yes but, I think his being the only performer is BS
Has performed anything written after 1975? This is no slam on McCartney, but I'm really disappointed in the NFL and FOX. Nothing for the youth, if you are a rock fan this is great. I think it was a great performance, but it does not take into account the diversity of the audience.

32. The Right would hate "Hey Jude" because...
...the Beatles made the US "bad"...actually they would confuse the song with the "pot-positive" tune "Let It Be".

All in all, seeing Sir Paul McCartney on national TV ouwld have made many theocratic burbs freepers very very upset.

Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey, Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better.

And any time you feel the pain, hey, Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
Well don't you know that its a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder

Hey, Jude! Don't let her down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember, to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey, Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you, hey, Jude,
You'll do, the movement you need is on your shoulder

Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

I really loved McCartney's performance. It's like having a Gershwin or a Beehoven at a Superbowl Concert.

The Beatles songs will live on for ever, this half time concert proved it. This old man could still move a crowd with his, and his friend, John Lennon's genius.

I saw Paul in 1990 and again in 2002, and as far as having multiple acts during the halftime show, I have to say, there were people of ALL ages at the concert. I'm talking people in their 70s to young kids in their early teens. The Beatles, in my opinion, have appeal that crosses generations.

I thought the drummer was out of sync with what was being played at times, and I had my suspicions about McCartney's vocals at points.

The sound quality was awfully good for a live show.
