A question for those who have watched Sideways.
My husband and I watched Sideways and loved it, so we recommended it to my sister. She took a group of girlfriends out for dinner and to watch this movie. They hated it and even discussed calling me from the restaurant to complain and ask "what were you thinking?". Ugh. I will never recommend another movie to her again. Did you like the movie or did you hate it as well? What is your take?

2. I loved it - and so did everybody else I know who's seen it
Paul Giamatti should have been nominated for an Oscar IMHO.

3. One of the best movies I've ever seen.
Don't listen to your sister. And, you're right, don't recommend any more movies to her.

9. She was just so damn snarky about..............
That was what got me. Not just a "not my thing" but she had to make a huge deal out of it. I just had a thought though, I think all of her friends are republicans. That just might explain a lot.

4. I thought Sideways...
Personally I thought it was rather depressing and not the "hilarious romp through wine country" that it was portrayed to be...and the 3 people I went with thought the same thing. To each his own I guess...I did think Million Dollar Baby was wonderful...yet sad.

5. I haven't seen it, but several friends have and they all loved it...
who knows? I agree, though, don't recommend movies to your sister anymore. Sounds like you have very differing tastes.

8. Yeah...........
That made me not like his character at first, I did however love that she kept her stash in an Ajax can in her underware drawer!

10. loved it
Awesome characters. I just thought it was a subtle movie...it wasn't outrageously funny, but it had it's moments :)
