(2) A's had a guy on second and a ball hit to Nomar went past him for an error. As the guy was rounding 3rd, he ran into Mueller...the ump signaled him to home, but the guy stopped running. Apparently he thought it was a freebie....it wasn't. Play at home nailed him.

Both the A's and Sox are going to be tired- the Yankees have barely used their bullpen and the entire team is going to be well rested for the ALCS, be it against the A's or the Sox.
