I just pissed somebody off

I was emailing back and forth with a friend about political and social issues and I think I overstepped some boundary. She quit responding and I think she went to bed mad.

Of course it is possible that she went to bed because it's 1:30 am, but I'm pretty sure it's all about me.

Does this ever happen to anyone else?

5. We agree about just about anything - it was one of those philosophical

type conversations where I was batting ideas around and I kind of forgot to be sensitive about some issues that she might not view in quite the detached objective academic way that I was presenting them.

In other words, I think I stuck my keyboard in my mouth.

Maybe she really did just go to sleep and this isn't about what you said. I'd write her tomorrow as if nothng happened and wait to see what happened.

As a sister sufferer of Keyboard in Mouth Disease I'm going to guess this might not have been your first lapse. As such, your pal probably recognizes your passion and won't delete you from her Contacts list. My fingers are crossed for ya!
